Kershaw County Amateur Radio Club (KCARC) – NET PREAMBLE

Good evening, everyone and welcome.
This is [callsign] my name is _______ and I am now calling the Kershaw County Amateur Radio Club Net into session. I am Net Control and located in
[city], South Carolina.
This net meets every Monday night at 8:00 PM local time.
We operate on the Fort Jackson repeater using a frequency of 146.775 MHz
with a negative offset and a PL tone of 156.7 Hz.
Immediately following this Net, please join us on the Simplex frequency of
146.46 MHz to give operators an opportunity to socialize and improve
the operations of their ham radio equipment.
[BREAK]
The purpose of this Net is to handle traffic into and out of the coverage area, exchange information, test the repeater operations, improve
the operations of their ham radio equipment and enjoy each other’s company.
If you have an emergency anytime during this Net, please state the word “Emergency” with your call sign phonetically and repeat, as necessary. The frequency will be turned over to you, and we will assist as needed. Emergency traffic pertains to the preservation of life or property.
