  • The Kershaw County Amateur Radio Club (KCARC) is an ARRL (American Amateur Radio League) Special Service Club as well as an NWS Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador. KCARC has been recognized as a back-up for communications to the Local Emergency Planning Committee by the Kershaw County Council. If there is a catastrophic event, cell phone use will most likely not be available as cell phone towers will be used primarily for emergency communications. Amateur radio license holders may be your only option for obtaining services or for getting messages to loved ones. In order to obtain an Amateur Radio Licenses, regular testing sessions are offered. Feel free to contact us for more information..

Kershaw County Amateur Radio Club participates in the Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador Initiative
